Born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA, Benjamin Albrecht is a Brooklyn-based visual artist and gardener. He received a degree in studio art with a concentration in painting from Dartmouth, where he curated the student gallery and also studied neuroscience. Upon graduating, Ben was awarded the Perspectives of Design exhibition and spent the following year as a fellow in the art department that culminated in a show at the Jaffe-Friede Gallery during the Summer of 2017. He then went on to a residency at the Chautauqua School of Art, where he continued to learn from and connect with peers and professional artists. He is currently making new work and looking at opportunities to exhibit creative work and explore the integration of ecology, art and architecture.
